Traditional women honor Internal Affairs Minister, Honorable Varney A. Sirleaf for outstanding performance in the discharge of his duties.

Monrovia, April 18, 2019:Traditional women from across the country on Wednesday honored Internal Affairs Minister, Honorable Varney A. Sirleaf for his outstanding performance in the discharge of his duties.

The women are under the auspices of Liberia Crusaders for Peace, Traditional Women and Prevenient Grace Organizing Committee.

At a colorful program held at the premises of the Internal Affairs Ministry the women gowned and presented certificate to the minister for effectively administrating and coordinating the affairs of the 15 counties, ensuring peace and reconciliation, communal farming initiatives and sustaining service delivery through the County Service Center under the decentralization program.

Liberia's Culture Ambassador Juli Endee said the women had gathered to appreciate the works of the Internal Affairs Minister and thank President George Manneh Weah for the preferment of Honorable Sirleaf as Minister. She said reports gathered from all the counties revealed that Honorable Sirleaf has "footprints" everywhere.

The women said the President Weah's appointment of Honorable Sirleaf was no mistake as the Minister is the best for the post.

Also speaking, Chief Zanzan Karwor, Chairman of the Council of Chiefs praised the level of cooperation received from the Minister.

Chairman Karwor noted that Honorable Sirleaf keeps putting smiles on the faces of Chiefs across the country by regularizing their salaries which has been a long running problem.

In response, Honorable Sirleaf thanked the women for the honor, saying, he dedicates the honor to His Excellency Dr. George Manneh Weah under whose leadership and guidance the Ministry works.

 He also recognized the collective efforts of Deputy and Assistant Ministers and the Ministry's workforce as a whole for holding together. He praised culture Ambassador Juli Endee for organizing peace initiatives in the counties, promising to work with her.
