February 8, 2020:  Assistant Internal Affairs Minister for Urban Affairs, Honorable Abubakar Bah has arrived in the city of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates as representative of Liberia at the Tenth Session of the World Urban Forum(WUF).

 

A press release from the Ministry of Internal Affairs says the event is expected to run from February 8-13,2020.

 

The theme for this year's event of the WUF is: 'Cities of Opportunities: Connecting Culture and Innovation'.

 

"We are prepared to make the case at the world stage ". Honorable Bah declared in a brief social media post.

 

According to the release, this year's World Urban Forum is under the sponsorship of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

 

During the period of the forum, Honorable Bah was also invited to play the role of a panelist in the side event convened by Bill & Melinda

Gates Foundation and UCLG.

 

The side event is titled ‘Citywide Inclusive Sanitation, A Comprehensive and Integrated Public Service Approach to Achieve SDGs: The inextricable link of SDG 6 and SDG 11 driving the 2030 agenda of sustainable development’
