The Government of Liberia is putting in place measures which aim to encourage more people are tested. To do this, several public facilities have been earmarked to be used as Voluntary Specimen Collection Centers.

During the weekend and this week, members of the Community Engagement Pillar have been meeting with community and local government leaders to sensitize them about the Government's plan and importance of the center.

Team members comprising staffs of the pillar lead Ministry of Internal Affairs and Ministry of Health have been out and about in various communities of Montserrdao County.

We wish to report that the reception for setting up Voluntary Specimen Collection Centers has been impressive.

Community leaders have pledged to ensure the safety of these centers.

They are also appreciative of the level of engagement that has begun with the community which has been described as the best option to stop spread of Covid-19.
