
Deputy Minister Edward K. Mulbah Presents Letters of Appointment to Chiefs in Grand Gedeh County
Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County — Edward K. Mulbah, Deputy Minister for Research and Development Planning at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, has officially presented letters of appointment to local chiefs in Grand Gedeh County. During the ceremony, he urged the traditional leaders to use their authority to benefit their respective communities through inclusive leadership and service.
Deputy Minister Mulbah emphasized the critical need for peace and reconciliation across the county. He called on the chiefs to foster unity among their people and to act as agents of cohesion in their communities. “Your leadership should be a symbol of unity and progress,” he said.
The Deputy Minister also reminded the chiefs to refrain from political involvement, urging them to prioritize the well-being of their people above partisan interests. He further called for strong collaboration between traditional leadership, the County Authority, and legislative representatives to ensure sustainable development in Grand Gedeh.
Superintendent Grant, admonished the chiefs to serve with integrity and mutual respect. He emphasized the importance of being prepared and committed to executing their duties effectively.
Responding on behalf of the chiefs, Paramount Chief Rhoda Garmouh expressed gratitude to President Joseph Nyuma Boakai for what she described as the positive strides in national governance. She reaffirmed the chiefs’ commitment to supporting the Boakai administration and commended the government for the ongoing improvements to the Southeastern road corridor.
The occasion was attended by local government officials, community members, and other stakeholders, and marked a significant step in strengthening traditional leadership structures in the county.
