
Good News for Liberia, Carter Center Vows Support for Traditional Leaders
In support of Liberia’s decentralization program, the US-based Carter Center has renewed commitment to support traditional leadership of Liberia.
According the Country Director of Carter Center Liberia Mr. Tom Cric his agency will continue to work with the Ministry Internal Affairs in restoring the dignity of traditional leadership in the country.
Speaking at the traditional leaders’ forum, Mr. Cric said peace is the absence war, confusion, and misunderstanding.
To maintain therefore, Mr. Cric noted that the people practically their leaders must known and guild against those things that cause war in the first place.
“This is why we (The Carter Center) are here to lend our support. Even though your government sees that there is no more war, that more should be done to maintain lasting peace and this is why you are here today” He stated.
Mr. Cric spoke at the ongoing Special Chiefs’ Forum organized by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
