As Liberia prepares for implementation of the Decentralization Policy, Internal Affair Ministry Blamoh Nelson has called for uniformed identification of operational regions for systematic service delivery in the country.

He said such careful preparation will prevent the costly mistakes of the past.
Minster Nelson was speaking Wednesday at the first Inter-Ministerial Committee meeting for commencement of implementation of the National Decentralization policy in Monrovia.

A release said representatives, including heads of some Ministries and Agencies at the meeting discussed terms of reference to guide coordination and implementation of the national Policy, and to enhance understanding of policy-level personnel to provide informed leadership.

Meanwhile the committee has agreed to further discus the idea of development of regional Hubs advanced by the United Nations.

The regional hubs when developed, will serve as centers for key components of the Decentralization policy.
