Passionate group exchanges characterized day 3 of the JCCEM

The Joint Council of Chiefs and Elders Meeting (JCCEM) withdrew d into Break-up Groups in a passionate and sincere dialogue.

The wise men and women debated on several topics including (1) how can peace, reconciliation and social cohesion be consolidated along the Cote D’Ivoire-Liberian border and (2) mechanisms for regularized dialogue and information exchanges to foster peace and security.

After the group discussion, the chiefs and elders then reported on outcomes of their discussion in a final plenary “Discussion Wrap-Up.”

It is from these various reports that the two sides drafted a final joint communique read by Internal Affairs Minister Morris M. Dukuly, on Saturday, October 19.
