MIA Delegation Inspects Roadside Brushing Projects Across Three Counties.
A high-level delegation from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), headed by Assistant Minister for Technical Services, Hon. Orondo F. Armah, has concluded an inspection tour of ongoing roadside brushing activities in Grand Bassa, Margibi, and Bong Counties. The team included Mr. Carlton W. Saylee, Compliance Auditor at the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning (MFDP), along with a representative of the National Road Fund (NRF). The visit aimed to verify progress made since the donation of roadside brushing equipment and materials to counties in early October this year.
According to Assistant Minister Armah, the initiative is part of the government’s broader efforts to improve road accessibility, enhance community safety, and ensure proper maintenance of feeder and major road networks across the country. He emphasized the need for accountability and effective usage of public resources, noting that regular monitoring is key to sustaining infrastructure development.
Community residents and local authorities in the visited counties expressed appreciation for the government’s intervention and reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining the roads for smooth transportation and economic activity.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs has assured the public that similar inspection exercises will continue nationwide to ensure that resources allocated for local development are used efficiently and have direct impact on citizens.
