Induction of Hon. Karyou Johnson as the 46th Superintendent of Grand Bassa County

Grand Bassa County ushered in a promising new era of leadership with the official induction of Hon. Karyou Johnson as its 46th Superintendent. The ceremony was held on March 14 at the Unification Pavilion on the Fairground, under the esteemed leadership of Hon. F. Sakila Nyumalin, Sr. Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

During the ceremony, Minister Nyumalin graciously administered the Oath of Office, following an official handover from Acting Superintendent James W. Duen.

Hon. Karyou Johnson succeeds the late Hon. Julia K. Bono, who made significant contributions as Superintendent from May to November 2025. In his inaugural address, Superintendent Johnson underscored his commitment to reconciliation and the empowerment of youth, reinforcing his dedication to creating a brighter future for the young people of Grand Bassa County.
